I get a LOT of questions about what my schedule actually looks like as an entrepreneur. I mean, don’t we all love getting a peek into other people’s lives? Hence our love for reality TV (or maybe that’s just me…).
Anyways, I think people are curious about my life because they find it hard to believe that you can make money without sacrificing your entire life. I’ve said it before, but I will say it again - this is possible, and I’m going to show you how I do it.
A little disclaimer before I get into it - I’m a human being just like you. There are some weeks that I fall back into my old hustle ways. There are some weeks that my list just doesn’t get done. It takes constant work and growth to stay the course in anything and that applies to your schedule. I have to make sure that every week I’m keeping strong boundaries and protecting my peace. And as with anything, it gets easier with time.
Okay, without further ado, let’s get into a day in my life.
A Day in the Life of a Seven-Figure Entrepreneur
My one non-negotiable every week is ‘never missing a Monday.’ It’s similar to the common mantra about going to the gym, except I translate it to work. When it comes to my Monday’s, I’m always jumping out of bed ready to tackle the week. I personally feel like it keeps me accountable and kicks off my week in a productive way.
I’ve tried everything when it comes to planning my weeks. I’ve tried time blocking and I’ve used every task manager app you can think of, but every time I tried something in a week I’d be back to my old ways of feeling pulled everywhere and stressed out. So I developed my own method of planning by theming my days.
My weeks look like this:
Monday: Client Support
Tuesday: Client Support
Friday: CEO Mode
Mondays and Tuesdays are when I do client calls and check-ins. I make sure to have NOTHING else on my calendar or to do list that day so that my clients get 100% of me. I support my clients all week long but Mondays and Tuesdays I focus solely on their coaching calls and meeting their needs. They pay me for a transformation, and that takes me giving them my all. They deserve ALL of me, not me that is pulled in 800 directions.
Wednesdays are for inquiry calls and responding to inquiries. This is the day I pour all my energy into GROWTH in my business.
Thursdays are admin days for me. This involves cleaning up and responding to emails that my team wasn’t able to answer, team meetings, business tasks, etc.
Then Fridays are the days I get to work ON my business and not in it. I like to call my Fridays ‘Freedom Fridays’ because I wake up and do what I feel inspired to do. Normally it’s tapping into my creative side and painting the vision for my company, but some days it’s a good Netflix and laundry day… and guess what? That’s ok!
As entrepreneurs we put so much pressure on ourselves to constantly be DOING. We tend to tie our self-worth to how much we can get done, which only leads to an unsustainable business and burnout. And eventually you will find yourself looking back on your journey and realizing you forgot to find the fun in building your business.
Building a business is not easy, and any coach that says they can show you an EASY way is lying. You can find an easier way, but it takes hard work to build success, and one of those hard things is taking control of your schedule and your time.
Of course, like I mentioned earlier, I support my clients daily, emails come in daily, some admin stuff happens daily but I don’t let it derail my main focus for the day. If I can’t handle it the day of, I put it on the list for the designated client support day.
I work less now than I ever have in my entire business and make more than I ever have in my business. Just typing that out feels surreal, but I’m telling you right now, when you allow yourself space to BREATHE, you allow room for things to grow, for things to manifest and for things to be enjoyable.
Last but not least… Weekends!
This is a big one, and again, you have to do what works best for you. Weekends are sacred to me. Do I work sometimes? Yep. But I try to make weekends time to refuel. I pour into a lot of people during the week, and while I love my people, I do have to refuel in order to properly pour into them. In the past, I would work weekend after weekend, but then I’d hit a complete wall. I promise you, you will show up better for your clients when you take time to yourself. For some of you that may be the opposite. For some people, the weekends are actually when they can work on their business, and during the week is when they can refill. That's okay, everyone's schedule is completely different. The important thing is that there's harmony.
So there’s my week at a glance! Everyone is different, but this is what I’ve found works best for me so I can have profits and peace in my life and business. I’d love to hear your thoughts and if anything stood out for you in this post. Send me a DM me on Insta and share!
